DLK's rules for puppy mediation of DKK pedigreed dogs

DLK gives puppy mediation for national breeders among the members when the following is fulfilled:
- Male and bitch must be minimum 24 months old before mating.
- Male and bitch must be HD X-rayed with status result A1, A2, B1 (X-rayed and DKK judged before 1.1.2000) or status result A or B (DKK
judged after 1.1.2000), i.e. HD-free (minimum age for X-ray is 18 months in DK).
Dogs X-rayed before 1.1.2000 with present HD status B2 must be X-rayed again and DKK judged after 1.1.2000 with HD-status A or B in
order to be approved for puppy mediation.
- The HD-result must be approved by DKK/FCI.
(Photos must be sent to DKK judgement. The result is automatically sent to DLK).
- As of January 1, 2004, male as well as female must be AA X-rayed. This applies to all dogs regardless of age and of whether they have
previously had pedigreed litters. See below for rules for foreign breeding partners. (Minimum age for X-raying is 12 months in DK.)
- AA result must be registered at DKK. (Photos must be sent to DKK judgement. The result is automatically sent to DLK).
- The parents must have teeth and bite according to the standard.
(Set of teeth counted, bite status certified, both certified by a veterinarian. Alternatively teeth card signed by three independent
judges is accepted. Copy of result must be sent to DLK).

- Both male and female must have minimum a 1st prize in open class at an authorised show judged by a judge approved by DKK/FCI. (Proof must
be sent to DLK).
- The bitch must fulfil the following ethical rules: From birth/puppies at least 10 months must pass before her next mating.
For foreign dogs the following rules apply:
- Corresponding FCI approved documentation of HD result, with status A or B, must be sent to DLK. The X-ray must comply with the age limit
in the HD X-ray rules of the country, in question.
- From 01.07.2004: The dog must fulfil the elbow x-ray/documentation rules in force in the home country. If the breeding dog is in Denmark
on a disposal declaration, the dog must fulfil the Danish breeding rules for elbow x-ray.If the foreign dog stays in Denmark for a short
time only, without a disposal declaration, the owners of both male and female must on a "SOLEMN DECLARATION" from DKK prove that the
foreign dog fulfils the breeding rules for elbow x-ray in force in the home country.The SOLEMN DECLARATION must also be used for matings
abroad.
- Documentation for set of teeth and bite status according to the standard and both certified by a veterinarian must be sent to DLK.
Alternatively teeth card signed by three independent judges is accepted
- Documentation that the dog has obtained at least Excellent/Vorzüglich or corresponding judgement in open class at an authorised show
judged by a judge approved by DKK/FCI must be sent to DKK.
- The dog(s) must be pedigreed (approved by FCI) and fulfil the breeding regulations of the special club of the home country. It is the
duty of the breeder to provide the documentation.
Passed at board meeting 2 April 2000, and updated with reqirement for AA X-ray according to decision at ordinary general meeting 27 April
2003 and 25 April 2004.
After 01-07-04, these rules apply to all breeding dogs approved for puppy mediation.
